Program Introduction

The AES Torres Strait Community Partnership Program operates across three streams, each designed to address a specific and documented community need. Together they form a connected approach to education, wellbeing, and long-term economic development for Torres Strait Islander communities.

Education & Training
Delivered through Mercury Institute of Victoria (RTO 41264, CRICOS 03439M), AES provides accredited vocational training to Torres Strait Islander communities through a hybrid face-to-face and online delivery model.
Current qualifications: Diploma of Leadership and Management | Diploma of Hospitality Management | Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management | Commercial Cookery qualifications
Delivery model: Online portal for flexible study, with face-to-face intensive sessions delivered in Melbourne and on-island by trained community educators. Programs currently in development for Torres Strait community delivery.
